Maya Binyam is the author of Hangman, forthcoming from FSG (US) and Pushkin Press (UK). Her work has appeared in the New York Times Magazine, the New Yorker, the New York Times Book Review, the Paris Review, New York, Bookforum, the Nation, and in many other publications. She is a contributing editor of The Paris Review, and has previously worked as a senior editor of Triple Canopy and the New Inquiry, and as a lecturer in the New School's Creative Publishing and Critical Journalism program. She lives in Los Angeles.
